Derick Dahlen, Founder and President
Derick O. Dahlen manages and oversees all of Dahlen, Berg & Co.'s activities, including consulting, energy trading, power plant development, and operations management. He has developed and managed engagements for municipal utilities; universities; industrial, commercial, and institutional customers; and utility regulators. He has spoken on electric industry restructuring and competitive issues before industry and customer groups nationwide. He has also testified as an expert witness before state and federal utility regulators throughout the United States.

Prior to founding Dahlen, Berg & Co., Mr. Dahlen worked as a Senior Manager with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. where he directed Peat Marwick's energy consulting practice in the Minneapolis office. He was also a member of Peat Marwick's energy consulting steering committee and director of their rate regulation practice. He was also a consultant for Touche, Ross & Co. in Minneapolis. Mr. Dahlen has also held management positions with operating companies in finance, marketing, operations and general management in Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts, and Virginia.

Mr. Dahlen earned his MBA from the University of Virginia, and did his undergraduate work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
